When i go to look for some thing to down load what does it mean when it says it is an archive,or an application and also why doesn winzip open every thing if it is a zip file after the download completes and i go to open it it never open under win zip do u need any other apps for win zip to open every thing in there.

If the zips are less than 1 MB (1,000 KB) then they're most likely viruses anyway so just as well you can't open them. Unless your winzip is already affected. I had an issue 4-5 yrs ago where my stuffit expander became effected with a virus & affected everything that passed thru it! So be sure .. check your system over.
