I wouldn't worry--chat is very unreliable even between the most well intentioned.

Perhaps too the person at the other end was scared you were a nasty person posing as a nice one, and cut the connection.

We can't predict what is happening for the person at the other end of our connections, so all we can do is keep our part of the transaction admirable.
