Default Uploading help

Hi there, new user first post.

I have cable connection (1mb) and have set my upload limit to Unlimited.
I have set the slots to 5 at the moment, yet I barely see any of the users downloading my files go above 10kbps.

Is this problem on my end or the other users?

I am behind a firewall, would that limit it at all?

Thanks and look forward to any advice.

Possibly! Do you see a brick wall in front of the blue world icon at the bottom of LW's interface? (see sample image below)

What types of files are you sharing? Are they common or rare or a combination?

If you go to the LW Library window & click on whichever folders you're sharing, then look to the columns to the right called Hits & Uploads & that will give you some picture as to whether people are finding your files or not. Hits means people have found that file in their searches.

Do you have partial file sharing enabled?

Yes I have a firewall, and I have the brickwall in front of the world.

I have 5 bars in the bottom left.
I am sharing a combination of audio and video files (lost mainly)

I have partial file sharing disabled.
And I am getting hits on most files.

I have been getting people downloading my files, just the upload seems pretty dismal most of the time, as I mentioned.

Nutsack this is normal as the people uploading have other connections, for eg someone downloading wiv a half meg connection and 5 hosts would pull 10kbs from each host so although the 10kbs seems poor to the uploader the downloader is at max bandwidth just its not all coming from you. This may not be true in ur case but probs is in 99% of upload querry quistions.
