Unable to copy some mp3 from LW to itunes

Hi,

I downloaded some songs and an audio book (angels and demons) from LW. I am able to copy the songs to itunes and it plays well both in LW and itunes media player. My ipod has these songs now

Audibook plays well in the LW and when I try to copy to itunes nothing happens :

Have have tried almost every option:
1. Drag and drop
2. Open the file thru itunes (nothing happens)
3. Saving the playlist in LW and importing to itunes (playlist is imported but nothing is there in the playlist).

I am confused what to do, I am desparately looking for help from someone so that I can start going thru demons and angels in my ipod

Pl. help.

FYI, this audiobook which is playing fine in LW is giving "Cannot play back the file. The format is not supported." error in Windows Media Player.

Hi, I am using Windows, the format of the file is MPEG Layer 3 (mp3). I checked this by seeing the properties of the file. As I write I am playing this file in LW and it is playing perfectly fine. I want to load this to ipod but am unable to copy this to itunes. Pl suggest

Hi,
I went to the site and downloaded various MP3 encoders. To my dismay I could no tfind the one which takes mp3 as i/p and gives mp3 as output (basically which does some correction). All of them either take wav or some other file format as i/p. I am confused what to to do and how to load the audio bool into my IPOD.

I wish I could give up on the downloaded mp3 audiobook (DEMONS and ANGELS).. Please help

Are you sure the particular files are not being copied to iPod? Recheck! They may be under a totally different section (such as audio books or simply in the main library section)

I have tried all the possible methods. Plese see the original post and subsequent replies for details. I will Copy to IPOD will be done after it is seen in itunes..

Sorry ... I think this is where I misunderstood your problem.

Get http://audacity.sourceforge.net/windows.php which is an audio editor. It can open mp3's, etc. What you could do is convert to WAV using Audacity. Then import that WAV file to iTunes. Then convert to either mp3 or apple lossless format or AAC. Then import to your iPod.

Did you convert the audiobook to WAV using Audacity? ie: open the audiobook with Audacity & then go to File menu & choose Export to WAV. Did you try to play the file with Audacity to see if it can play it?

After converting to WAV, then add it to iTunes.

I am tring that currently... export to WAV is taking YEARS... Not audacity's problem :).. I have fed in a 50 MB file :):) will keep you posted. Atleast now I have a ray of hope...
