i burned a cd and it doesn't play on my stereo or in my truck. it will play on my daughter's stereo. i have wasted a lot of cds. i checked the stereo manual and it does say it will not play some cdr or cdr/rw . how can i tell if the song i download to burn will play on my stereo? i thought when i bought it , i had all the formats covered.

Have you tried setting the burnspeeds as low as possible ?

I use HP cd-r for burning. Work well for me

Also what software are you using for burning ?

i used to use wmp now i tried record now which is a lot simpler for me. the cd now plays on my daughters stereo and on my cheapy discman. i tried it again in my stereo , now it works! hell if i know. is it possible the disc wasn't centered on the tray ?

I thought the problem was your truck doesnt play mp3's but guess you fixed it

Or you turned it upside down kidding

think you would most definitely hear it if it wasn't centered (scratching noises)
