So it isnt a worm, I think it's right through the limewire itself. I told a friend of mine and she has over 1400 in a hidden folder on hers too.
Thanx for listening
Faith

While you're at it, get a good and free antivirus program from Grisoft:

\_\ i tryed adding that to my shared folder where the downloads save and the only part of that that will work is the underscore the \\ wont work in a folder name

The official page redirects you to download.com now.

The1Hero, TheFaithlessOne

There are allot of people that have that virus. The reason they have it is because they don't use any common sense when downloading from the net. Did you really think that when you were downloading that software program that was smaller than 1MB (851.7kb, 765.5kb, 399.0kb) that it was an actual program. Once again I will repeat what the others have said. THE VIRUS DOES NOT COME ON LIMEWIRE YOU DOWNLOADED IT FROM THE GNUTELLA NET YOURSELF WITH LIMEWIRE.

Now go to the button below my signature and click on the blue one. It will take you to Norbie's world and he will help you get rid of the virus.

Just A Heads Up Dont Need Other People Getting ****** By Lime Wire,

and people are now in panic....running to the doctor for a shot

Get a good AV like Panda 2006...there is BS in this thread

It is not enough for people to have good AV protection

They also need to use a little bit of common sense. If they can't at least try to do that, then they will be better of uninstalling all P2P apps and disconnecting from the internet.

One thing that would be a start is if they read through some of the sticky's in this forum. And learn to look at the size of a file (not just the name)
