In general, it is pretty risky to download .exe, .zip., or .rar files from the network, since they contain viruses, spyware and/or trojans in 999/1000 cases.
And if files start downloading themselves without being clicked to do so, then it's about time to run any possible Antivirus, Antispyware/Maleware test possible to see whether there is an infection.....
