The fastest speed ever recorded with BearShare was ∞Tbps but that was a
pair of betas moving a short <10MB file over a fairly short distance on a pretty
fast connection. We suspected there was a bit of a rounding error because the
actual transfer time fell between timer ticks.

When england where playing paraguay i was sat at the computer downloading a short film [some tv show] before the kick off it was doing it's normal 1hour 30mins thing i was sat watching the match pre-amble and decided to download a larger file [a movie] so that by the time the match had finished it would be [fingers crossed] half way done.So it was nearly kick off and i pressed download and belive it or not the shorter file i had done 48% of just went haywire and started downloading at an incredible speed it was about 24kb a second or more then when england kicked off the movie i was downloaded started going haywire and was downloading at 30+ kbs a second by 22 mins into the match i had dowloaded a full 90min film and the tv show so i tried a few others and it was extremely fast i was doing mp3 in 30 seconds. When half time started eveything slowed down to normal and when the second half was on same story. My friend says it was because there was hardly anyone online and the broadband network was being under used.

Oh just a short tip if you download a film around 2am [gmt] is a great time it's what i call a broadband lapse.
