i'd like to share my songs.. all day long. cos i got a permanent internet acces.
but with limewire it is an enormous effor for my computer.
together with the java enviroment it uses about 50mb of my Memory.

so it isn't possible to work while spending songs.

does somebody know's a tool that makes gnutella network richer saves resources.

maybe i'm not very good informed. but till now i did't found a fast gnutella plattform.

If you just wanna set up a kind of server without doing too much downloading, 'gnut' could be what you need. Although I would definitely not use it to download ANYTHING except some mp3s or even smaller files now and then, for it has no resume feature nor does it have something similar to smart downloading.

It's sad but true, that LimeWire, since it reads and saves the ID3-tags of mp3-files, makes sharing lot's of mp3s (couple of thousand or so) quite annoying, since LimeWire slows down beyond usability.

Until I stopped sharing my mp3s LimeWire kept freezing for minutes every now and then. Uploading anything became impossible too, since the amount of QueryHits sent to the network was no more manageable.

i just tried bearshare..
and it is much smaller and faster.
