Default Is Limewire Pro Upgrade Worth it???

I’m thinking of upgrading to Limewire Pro but 1st I wanted to see what people think about it. I got burned w/ E-donkey 2k (I’m embarrassed to admit) when after paying for the upgrade, nothing changed or improved. It was only $19 but it wasted my time, money & it wasn’t that good to begin with.
Limewire basic works better than anything I‘ve tried (or paid for), they seem to be ‘up to date’, they’ve been around awhile & haven’t been shut down or disappeared like so many others. My main concern is that occasionally when I’m looking for slightly rare or “unconventional” songs, vids, etc. Usually I can find them but there aren’t enough resources to download the files.
I know it may seem petty considering the low price but things can add up quickly especially these days, when online, you can’t seem to get through 3 or 4 mouse clicks without being asked for your credit card number.
Anyway I would really appreciate any info, input or opinions about the Limewire Pro upgrade.
Thanks everyone & good luck

The pro version you do have to pay for. I am very pleased with it and I think it's worth the money. I'm using it right now. It comes with a nice special pro skin. And you can connect to 10 hosts (14 hosts if you have t3) it can also get more search results. Mostly rare material. So if you like the basic try pro. But you can't get your money back. But since you like basic pro is like basic except it has more and better features.

pcxe,
Just remember to save your Pro installers! LW doesn't keep old versions for download. People sometimes run into trouble with a particular version, then want to revert back to their old one but can't because they can't get hold of the installer for that version:wink:

I have limewire pro and I think its worth it because you get more search results and also you get 10 peers instead of 8. I have had value for money although you have to watch there is sites that offer you it and you pay you end up with nothing!

Thumbs down Lime wire upgrade

Hi, I am not sure that this will help you or anyone else reading this bulletin but - I feel that I have been scammed by Limewire. I was subscribing to 360share Pro which, for some unknown reason became inactive. I decided to give Limewire a try, and submitted all details required for download. I paid for the download by Pay Pal and eagerly awaited the arrival of the program. Imagine my disappointment when i clicked on limewire icon only to get ( again ) 360 share pro. I now have two programs both paid for. I feel that something fishy is definately going on. Incidently, BOTH programmes are not connecting and are in exactly the same state !!!! I have requested ( or tried ) requesting for refund both from Pay Pal and Limewire. I do not hold much hope. However, I will persevere. If anyone can throw any light on this topic at all please contact me. susanna

I go to a Club for people who are recovering from Depression, and they use Limewire Pro in the Communications Room. I think it's worth it. I use basic Limewire, at home and I'm considering upgrading.

Okay...
I am going to sign up for Limewire Pro.
If for no reason other than to help my fellow internet brethren (& sisteren).
I use limewire to download songs and thank the powers that be for such services. I don't listen to music enough to justify (in my mind) paying for such a service but I do LOVE the fact that I can download a song if I am curious or just want to have it in my collection. I am old school and like being able to search from my shabby memory and find mp3 files of a song I like without having to pay for the entire album (CD). More importantly I enjoy being able to download games; programs etc. to try them before I buy them. Recently I have been downloading m**** ******* f***** c***** episodes which I already have 90 % but I find it so much easier to download avi episodes than to convert them from my antiquated vhs format. I will upgrade to Limewire and see how it compares. Remember I have been scammed before from a "legitimate" p2p program. If ** fl**** c***** episodes are provided with more sources and I will try other programs.
I will let you know my results and if this can shed some light on this apparently questionable subject than maybe internet karma will repay me. Also others may have better information by-which to make decisions
Wish me luck & thank you everyone for your input
Good luck to all
