making media player my default player so I can preview movies Okay, so I downloaded this program called Irfan view so that I could easily resize pictures from my digital camera. So every image that I pull up, pulls up through Irfan View. This is never a problem except when I want to preview a video file I am trying to download. I can get the file to play and hear the sound but not see the pic. Says that it can not find 'vids:mp43' decompressor. Well I dont care about that. I just want to use my windows media player 10 to play my movies. So how do I set it to be my default player? Thank you! |
Might be a codecs issue.... You could try to use a different media player such as the free VLC player with built-in codecs which can play almost all media files without problems. You can download it from here: http://www.videolan.org/vlc/ As a side note, to preview files with it you'll have to open the files directly from the Incomplete folder and not via the LW preview function. :Smilywais: |
yeah but thats the last thing i need is to download yet another program when i have a prefectly good one that I just dont know how to use as my default player you know? Thanks! |
Well, if you want to stay with this crappy player...: http://www.updatexp.com/codec-for-wi...player-10.html And if those are not enough,......... http://www.google.co.th/search?hs=cM...E0%B8%B2&meta= :Smilywais: |
