 Have you alterd audio settings in VLC, if so, the auto switching from one format to another goes off somehow. Try returning to defult audio setting, may fix it,if not Just reinstall it and let it run auto, Just a posabilaty it happebd to me. Shout if that dont fix it. Namaste Peace.
