What's with this?

I'm using windows XP, dsl internet connection. No firewalls blocking limewire. When I shutdown limewire when it has downloads in progress, then later restart limewire, limewire can only locate 1 or 2 sources for files that had 7 or 8 before hand. If I do a keyword search for the file I am downloading, the number of sources suddenly jump back up to 7 or 8. What's with that?

Limewire will connect you to the quickest hosts it can find to start with, and when you enter the same keywords it will start to search for more....
