I just did the stupidest thing you could think of, I installed Limewire 2.0 and removed 1.8 from my system (Mac OS X).

The new version doesn't find anything, even searching for something like "sex" yields maximum five hits. For more normal searches I usually don't get any. It doesn't matter if I have Ultrapeer enabled or disabled.

That you can't see the connections-tab annymore, is that a feature or a bug. Or is it necessary to buy the pro-version?

Please bring out a new version, quickly... And preferably without the mp3-player. Don't we have enough on our systems already?

I absolutely agree with you. I installed V. 2.02 and was extremely disappointed. Lot of banners, no possibilities to handle the connections, and this stupid additional programs!!!

The badest thing is, that there was a Trojan on it called Trojan.Win32.DlDer which can be removed with the following program
http://www.grokster.com/virusinformation.html.

So after all I deinstalled V. 2.02 and be lucky with the mich better V. 1.7b

Same here it just gets worse and worse.. Anyone know of a linkwhere I can download a pre 2.0 version. At least with those versions I could actually do searches and find results. Now I'm lucky if I find 1 file let alone the thing I am looking for.

as of last week, CNEt still had eight.
I am running 1.7 still. i have made 1.7 and 1.8 avial. on my drive, so if you seach using Programs as a type, it may be had.

I just have posted a similar message to limewire team before i read this thread.
The new version is really not usable and i will uninstall it immediately. Hopefully number of others peer to peer clients are available.

I disagree, They were doing fine untill this version! Very disappointing. I don't appreciate the extra software being jammed down my throat. If we want it we're quite capable of getting it on our own terms. On top of that i find out i may be infected with a trojan? What kinda joke is that!? Thankfully i found one of my old versions and i can at least put 1.7 up for sharing.
