Hi, I'm new to LW. I have been trying to save music to another file to use in another program that will not accept the m3u format.
Every time I try to save the songs it goes in as an m3u. I tried searching here to find an answer and the only one that came close didn't help. Can anyone give me exact step by step instructions? thanks

Are you trying to transfer the songs from Limewire to iPod? If so, then there will be issues regarding file names. Though the iPod will accept mp3s, they have to be imported from your My Music folder.

Hi misemi,
An m3u file is just a playlist file...it doesn't contain the music but is more like a pointer to the file that does contain the music ![]() Go into your LW library, click on Saved Files then click Explore. Your saved folder will open for you, move or copy songs from this saved folder (rather than from the LW library list of songs) & you should find that the files are moved/copied as .mp3, or whatever the format is! |

OK, I went to the LW library clicked on Explore..My Music folder pops up. Now how do I get the songs into this file/folder? How do I save them as mp3s?This is where the m3u files were sent to. I'm trying to use the songs in another program to make a home slide show...that program will only accept .mp3 or .wav.
