This is my first post.. Through Paypal on the 20 July 2006 I paid $18.88 USD ( £10.51 GBP) for the upgrade to Limewire Pro. I have recently reformatted my hard drive and lost all contents including Limewire now I am having problems contacting LIME WIRE LLC so I can upgrade from basic to Pro.... It keeps coming back my e mail address is not recognised...I want to contact them about my account with them but can't...is there anyone out there who can help me with an E mail address I can mail them.

Hi Advent,
Because you bought Pro more than 6 months ago (your subscription's out of date), your email address won't be in the database anymore.

If you want Pro, you'll have to buy it again.

Many thanks Birdy as they say in Germany alles klar...So I have to pay again if I want Pro well to me that sucks the words RIP off come to mind . You'd think they would have a data base of fully paid up members irrespective of their membership support for 6 months.....

I do understand that you're frustrated & just so you know, I don't work for LW. But...think about it. If you buy a program on CD & then lose the CD...you're not entitled to a replacement are you? Because it's up to you to safeguard & back up your copy. Same applies to LW Pro.

The website does state that LW Pro purchase entitles you to support & updates for up to 6 months. It's only fair that the database holds email addresses of Pro purchasers for that 6 month period.

Ok then surely I am entitled to their Tech support via Email as it does state in their sales pitch ONLY updates for 6 months is mentioned...or is this only accesaable when the program is running....Can someone please give me an e mail address for Limewire so that I can contact them....and put my case forward.

Well it says in the FAQ "...personalized support via email and free updates for up to 6 months".

Hey birdy my story is exactly the same as his with the exception that it hasnt been six months.
However the email address i used was recently deleted thru no fault of my own still trying to figure that one out limewire cant find the email address to let me download pro.So u kno theres no way its been over six months my internets only been on for about 4 months and i didnt get LWPro for a couple months so its only been about two months.

Please tell me i didnt pay 18 bucks to use this for two months

As long as you bought Pro from the official site LimeWire it shouldn't be a problem.

Send a PM to limenathan (click on link) who handles queries like these He should be able to sort it out for you. Only thing is...he doesn't work weekends, so you won't get a reply until Monday
