Hi, I paid for a ""Lifetime"" subscription to limewire, but now I go to the site to re-download after a hard drive reformatting, and it says my e-mail address is not valid! I did not pa for a 1-year subscription, I paid for the so-called lifetime. Can someone please help me figure this out?

LW basic is free, LW Pro costs $18.88 & includes free updates & email support for up to 6 months. The only official site for download of either version is Lime Wire » Home & there's no lifetime subscription. If you paid for a lifetime subscription then you were scammed. Unless you bought LW Pro from the official site less than 6 months ago, your email address won't be in the database

Depending how long ago you paid, you may be able to get your money back. Contact your bank/CC company & ask. Have a look through these threads for more info. Page 5 of the first thread has a list of scam sites.

Which version of LW did you pay for...basic or Pro? You might've been redirected (by scammers) to the official site for download but who did you pay? If you still have your statement, check who the payment was made to.
