I need help please!(corrupted installation popup after deleting LW) Hey guys. I downloaded Limewire SO long ago. Then I started to get complications with it, so I just deleted it from my desktop and computer. But now I get this notification that says: "One or more necessary files appear to be invalid. This is generally caused by a corrupted installation. Please try downloading and installing LimeWire again. If the problem persists, please visit Lime Wire » Official Website & Free Download « and click the 'Support' link." But I don't want to download it again ... I just want the message to go away because, um, it's annoying me. LimeWire is nowhere on my computer ... at all. And if I try to download it again, so I can delete it, it just goes through a "corrupted installation". Can you help me? -MusicFreak47897- |
How did you remove LW? If you did it through add/remove programs, that can cause problems. Use your computer's search to look for all files & folders with LimeWire in the name & delete from there. Before you uninstalled LW, was it popping up all the time & refusing to stay closed? If that was happening, you probably have a worm. In that case, uninstalling LW isn't going to get rid of it...you'll just keep getting other popups. If that was your problem, try the fix here. It's worked for a lot of people. The easy fix for Limewire popping up every few seconds (try this first) If that wasn't your problem to start with, just ignore what I said;) |
