ripped cd to WMP to share with LW

I ripped a cd (l**e s*********f) to WMP and then put it in my LW
library, it came in as WMA, my intention was to share it since it
is not listed in the ALL TYPES> SEARCH under S*********F, it's
getting HITS in my library but it is not being listed with available
downloads for S*********F--L**E S*********F or J**n ***
what's up? Mavrik

For all round sharing it's best to rip as mp3 which is arguably a better format than wma anyway. Many people block/filter out wma results because it is often used as a spam format. Also ... What you should know about WMA/WMV Files.

Not everybody has the ability to play or burn wma files. But most if not all people have the ability to play mp3 format. mp4/m4a format is another newer & becoming much more popular & is an improved format beyond both mp3 & wma.

It's a little bit like those people who rip files as RealPlayer format. Not everybody can play those, and not everybody even wants to play them or search for them. It's a patented format also similar to wma.
