Security Padlock

Please please pleeeeeeeeeease can someone help me. I've had limewire for a few years now, never had a problem, but yesterday when I logged into it, I received information that said I needed to update limewire, so I did. However, after it had updated, closed and restarted limewire, when I went back into it, the colour of the headings box had turned from green to gold. It said that if it didn't have a padlock sign under the QUALITY heading on the left, that it was unsecure as it stated there could be viruses in the search results and to log into limewire.com a secure site. so I did this. But when I uninstalled limewire and reinstalled it it was still the same and I can't get my old version back, which was with the green heading box where it says quality etc. Can anyone help me please?

It's just a warning because of spam that's been circulating on the network. If you get a notice to update limewire, make sure it has the padlock beside it. Other wise ignore it .
