![]() Windows users should uninstall LW via start > all programs > Limewire > uninstall or C:\Program Files\Limewire\uninstall. If you've tried to uninstall via add/remove programs, that can cause some problems & in that case use your computer's search to look for all files & folders with limewire in the name. Delete what you find. Are you getting these popups just the once, when you turn the computer on? Or are they popping up randomly all the time? If you're getting constant popups, sounds like you have a worm. This is usually caused by downloading an infected file! There's a fix here to try, it's worked for a lot of people. ![]() Whomever you are...(was it Australia?)...I thank you very much. I was able to find it with your help...I think anyway and have, again I think, successfully unistalled it. I failed to mention that I indeed am running Windows and was fortunate that you assumed (perfectly) that I was. It was only popping up on startup so I didn't think I had a worm as you suggested. It was just bugging the sh*t out of me. I"m not a very good Internet user but I usually muddle my way through, especially with help from good people like yourself. Actually LimeWire looks kinda cool and like something I might like to learn about and try sometime in the future. Maybe you could direct me to the easiest place to learn about this type of...I guess it's some type of file sharing program... for some cool stuff to do in my spare time.
