AOL Broadband works once and then not at all

When I start the day I can sign on to AOL 9.0vr through my broadband connection, but once I sign off AOL and try and get on to it later in the day it no longer recognizes my broadband connection.
Another odd thing happens once I sign off of AOL, I can't get do anything with my high speed connection until I reset the settings for this connection.
