does any one know how to get songs on an ipod free without giveing personal info or a credit card #

Using a p2p file sharing program suchas Limewire is an obvious option. Download what you want, then open iTunes and drag your downloaded files down to the iTunes tab at the bottom of the screen, and, without letting go of the left mouse button, into your iTunes library.
