can anybody tell me why my download speed is so slow, i'm on a 3MB broadband, and the dpwnload speed amounts to no more than 5kbps no matter what is being downloaded.

In LW go tools > options > speed & make sure that your speed isn't set at 'modem'.

hi, thanks for reply, speed is set to cable/dsl, have noticed detected firewall, as far as i can see it has been checked in the exceptions list of windows firewall. my anti-virus programme is avg free. have gone to MagnetMix.com but error message 'page cannot be be displayed' has appeared.
