I have removed it in the control panel, and it still won't go away!!! It's like a bad nightmare! My DSL Cable provider said this is the most unsafe program you can possibly ever put on your computer, and I'd like to get it off ASAP...but it seems impossible to get rid of!! HELP!

Well thats your first mistake. You uninstall by going to Start > All Programs > Limewire > Uninstall, If your OS is XP.

Now you will need to go to Start > Search > All Files/Folders. Type in Limewire > Search. After search is complete, Delete everything that was found. You might have to do this a few times.

If it keeps trying to start after you close it, then you might have contracted a "Worm".

Also I would like to add, Do you just Download different software and Programs randomly, with out reading or research?? If you know what you are doing then it's not as dangerous. I'm not saying that P2P is safe but it does help if you learn a little about the program beforehand.

Your ISP will always say that, because P2P programs use there precious Bandwith, and thats what there big concern is.
