![]() Hi everyone!! Just needed some help with subtitles. I downloaded a video (how brilliant is aXXo?!) but I can't understand it 'cos most of it's in another language...I then found a comment on Bitpedia about .srt files. So I found the same video as a .srt file but it's about 57kb rather than the video's 7 to 800mb. Could someone please explain how .srt files work and how to burn a dvd with them (and the video) thank you! ![]() |

![]() i have downloaded a movie which needs subtitles, and downloaded the subsequent subtitle srt file, but i cannot figure out how to make it play with Veoh player. i tried merging the two by checking the box next to "subtitle file" and putting the correct srt file in the browse, but when played the movie has no trace of the subtitles. What am i doing wrong? and is it better/ easier to use rar files? |

![]() .rar files are just compressed files (like .zip files)...they are not .srt files.....have you read the articles wondering why linked to above?

![]() yeah, i read those pages, but i am still not able to make the subtitles appear. I am using VLC because i have heard it should work, but it isnt, and i am lost because I have a mac and all the other suggested programs seem to be created for PCs (for example- Media player classic and vso or whatever). I have named the files exactly the .avi and .srt files exactly the same, and put them in the same folder. i even checked to make sure the srt file isnt bogus in textedit, but it isnt. i just dont really know where to go from here. |

![]() ok. so i think i have finally figured out how to make the subtitles appear because they have worked for two movies, but now the problem is that i can only get the first half of the movie to play correctly because the subtitles come in parts and i dont know how to make the second part play automatically after the first finishes. and when i tryed to load it manually, the timing was all messed up. is there anyway to fix this? |
