Broxibear40, The way you uninstalled LW might be a problem. Uninstall by Start > All Programs > Limewire > Uninstall.
NOT Add/Remove Programs.

Now click Start > Search > All Files/Folders. Type in limewire > Search. After search has finished, Delete anything and everything that has to do with Limewire.
While your at it uninstall Java and download the most updated version before ReInstalling Limewire. Only Download Limewire from here Lime Wire » Official Website & Free Download, BitTorrent «

Remove All Java versions installed (via Add/Remove Programs) before you install the latest Version. (Download the JRE Offline Installer)
