ZIP = a packed file
It needs to be unpacked using a program like WinZip or WinRar or Stuffit or a multitude of others.

Oh if you unpacked it and still showing an error ... then yes a codec problem. We usually recommend using this player instead: VLC - (click on link) _ (choose nearest mirror site) which has in-built codecs.
