![]() javarun.exe is a topmoxie application. Topmoxie substitutes a referral url for the one you type in, so that products you buy will be attributed to a limewire referral. I am not sure what javarun.exe does. Maybe it's connecting to an external directory-list of referral urls? I don't know what javaw.exe does either, but it has something to do with either topmoxie or Cydoor, the ad-engine for the banners in Limewire. Cydoor, however, SUPPOSEDLY only runs (connects to the internet to get ads), when you are using Limewire. I'd appreciate a LIMEWIRE response to this question also. I have done some searches on these two exe's and have found only suspicion. If a program is going to access the internet (especially when you're not using limewire), the LW programmers SHOULD KNOW what it is doing, and have no qualms about disclosing this. |
