I just began using Limewire to handle torrent downloads, and was able to find a few movies I've been after for years - ones that I've never found via LW Pro searches.

I am certain many will say that there are far better ways to manage torrents, but my way is quite simple. I search the web for torrent sites. When I find what I'm seeking, I click "download this torrent" (or whatever download option is listed on the web page). When a dialog box opens asking, "open, save, cancel", I click 'open' and then see the item listed in my LW download box.

It was so simple, it took me quite awhile to figure it out.

I didn't notice the 'join to download' requirement at nova.

The are many torrent sites that are free and do not require registration. Most will ask that you keep the file available for seeding for 2-3 days so that others may download it. However, that's not required (it's just good p2p manners).
