Can't get my limewire to download

When I first downloaded it, it was working fine and then a couple of weeks later it stopped working. When i go to download a song it just goes straight to stalled and then i click on fixed stalled and it doesn't work.

hi Samantha sometimes if your downloading from like 1or2 host it will stop downloading try right clicking on the subject your searching for or the file your trying to get and get more results if it don't get enough i just keep doing that till i get more lol hope it works for you also if its getting all junk try clicking connections and remove them if you cant see connections click view/showhide put a check next to connections. sometimes you connect to bad/rouge peers and a good program to get is peerguardian it blocks a lot of known anti p2p hosts you can get it here Phoenix Labs PeerGuardian 2 if you don't have it. if that dont work keep chicking back for more advice good luck.

Does this happen with everything that you try to download (I mean everything)? Even really old, not popular songs?

If it happens with everything, try deleting LW's preferences folder when LW's properly closed.
See point 3 here & also point 2 if you've used older versions of LW in the past (there could be a folder in either location).
Fixes for LimeWire
This will change all of your settings within options, you'll have to go back through afterwards & reset things. If you're not sure of your settings, go through LW's tools > options & write them all down, so that you can reset things later.

If it's only happening with some songs, just try varying your search terms. Look for artist or album rather than file name. Also try using All rather than Audio category when searching.
