Exclamation Moving Song files from my desk top into limewire?

Maybe you have had or can help with this problem?

I was having problems with limewire so I wanted to reinstall limewire and get rid of the bugs. So I made a file and dragged my 2 years worth of songs and videos into it on my desk top. I reinstalled limewire and the bugs are gone but I can't drag my songs and videos back INTO limewire. I try and it will only let me add them to shared files and when I change their settings to Do Not Share they are gone all together.
How do I get my files on my desk top folder back into my SAVED folder in limewire. Thanks and have a great day.

Rick

You'll need to Point LW to the Path of your shared/saved folder thats on your desktop. Mine for instance is L:\Shared.
Go to Tools > Options > Saving. Now, type in the path where it says... "Choose Folder for Saving Files"

OK, I'll give it a try. When I first moved the files I just right clicked then clicked New Folder. I then just highlighted all the flies in my LW under saved and dragged them to the folder and dropped them in. nothing more but they work. So as you can see I don't know a whole lot about this but I'll see if this works. Thanks.

OK, I did it and now the songs and videos are in my LW saved, BUT!!! They are in their under my desk tops folder file name Limewire Files. So when i click on saved in LW I see Lime Wire Files and when I double click that i open the couple thousand saongs and files. How do I get it to be just the songs and videos appearing under saved instead of the file I originally made for my desk top to save the files when I reinstalled LW???
I hope I didn't confuse you with all the rambling... lol...

Hmm...Not sure. I Put my Shared Folder on the Desk Top a little different than what you did. I Didn't create a new Folder to Drag and Drop to.

I clicked explore while in LW. After the Shared Folder was open, I then Right Clicked on the Folder and then "Send To". Then clicked "Desktop" (shortcut). Doing it this way is exactly like seeing the files when Explore is clicked in LW. Now I never have to Open that Dreaded Program just to Listen to our Files.

I GOT IT!!! Yeaaaa... For some reasone LW wouldn't except the folder I made so I made another folder. Reformated it then dragged the files from the first desk top folder I had made to the new one I made. Then i was able to match that up with LW and reconize it normally. Now I have all my old files back in LW. Lots of work for such a little thing. Thanks for your help. Have a great day!!!
