Hi all,
Does anybody have an answer as to why the Limewire PRO (registered) version max's my CPU?

Check your firewall! I had the same problem with Morpheus and running McAfees firewall. shut the firewall down and Morph ran fine, turned it on and it made my cpu max out and lock- up.

LimeWire seems to be a bit CPU intensive to start with, but there also appears to be a problem when sharing a large number of files. I originally had over 3000 files shared. LimeWire would run okay for about 20 minutes and would then start chewing up RAM and using 100% of the CPU. I tried it many times, and each time the same result. I stopped sharing most of the files and LimeWire has been behaving itself. (I have about 400 files shared right now.) It's been running for three days straight without any problem. It still uses more CPU time than I'd like, but I can live with it the way it is.
