I did not see anywhere that this should go as there is no section for general problems. it is not a connection problem , so I could not put it there. Looks like there needs to be a forum for general problems.

My problem. I have had none with Limewire until now. I had downloaded and was sharing 235 files. They were in my library in Limewire. Something happened to all but 15 songs. They just disappeared. When I go to documents the Limewire "Saved" folder is there with all the songs , but they vanished out of the Limewire Library. Can someone tell me what happened ? So that I can prevent it in the future.

Well More problems. I uninstalled LimeWire and iTunes and did a clean install. Now when I download songs from LimeWire , it no longer puts them on iTunes.
All my old folders are gone now that I did a clean install. So why does LimeWire NOT put my songs on iTunes ?

Apologies, I had problems understanding your post. Perhaps your wording is at fault. LW Playlist which one? The LW program does not have a playlist. Quicklist is all it has. Perhaps you are mistaking the wording of what you mean by comparing it to another p2p program. I've used LW for almost 7 years but had problems understanding what you were talking about.

If the songs were still in Saved folder, simply drag & drop them back into LW's Library window. I've no idea why they would have dropped out of Library window by themselves without user intervention somewhere along the line with LW's settings or with the files themselves. Unless the LW preferences were somehow affected by logging off computer too soon after LW was closed (preferences not saved properly.)
I've removed my subscription to this thread, that should appease you. Considering putting you on my ignore list, that might be best so you only get assistance from those who can read. Done. We do this for free. Always other things I can be doing. Good luck with using LW 5.

Thanks for you reply. I am using LimeWire 5.1.3. And I was not using the quick list. All the files just vanished from the LimeWire Playlist except for 15 songs. Can't explain why that happened. Thought perhaps someone here could give me a possible explanation.

NoNo. Only the LimeWire Playlist. They remained in the iTunes playlist and they remained in my LimeWire "SAVED" folder in My Documents. Only on the LimeWire Playlist did they dissapear. I cannopt be more clearer than this.

Open LW & click on P2P Network in the sidebar... are there only 15 songs that show up in P2P network?

I just tried this & only songs that I'm sharing with the P2P network in LW appear in the LimeWire playlist in iTunes

Just forget I ever posted here. If you will read My post , you will see that the songs DID SHOW UP IN iTUNES, DUH Apparentlly you never read the post. Thanks for the help I never got because some of you cannot read or else don't read. I don't won't nay more posts on thisa subject. I am through.
