yes update to 5.14 or the beta LimeWire 5.2.5 (Beta) - Lime Wire which have much better support for private p2p.

The beta should be even better.

BTW Birdy might have some advice for you. Otherwise send her a PM. She knows more about LW 5's private p2p than me, she also hasn't used the G-Mail option fully, but she knows where to find the answer to the G-mail issue.
