Default Help needed on Ver. 5.3.6

i recently downloaded the latest version of LW but there has been so many times that the software crashes for some reasons i do not know. can somebody help me on this please.

you need to be a tad more specific...

like what type of computer you have, its specs, ram, cpu, internet connection...



and just what do you mean by crashes?

does it grab the monitor and go flying across the room, or w00t?

my latest LW crashes and just freezes thus i am unable to search anything or go to some settings,etc. note: my PC is a quad-core 2GB 220+GB hardrive and runs on Vista Home Premium. whenever i use some 1st-party or 3rd-party software (like iTunes or Media monkey) no symptoms was obvious. please help!

Try disabling the performance options in Tools -> Options -> Advanced -> Super really advanced -> performance.

If still no good, delete the preferences folder however make a backup of the downloads.dat file; http://www.gnutellaforums.com/genera...der-vista.html

If still problems, check how many versions of Java you have installed. It might be worth downloading the most recent offline java version, then removing old versions & installing the offline version, reboot computer.

Oh .. also make sure that LW is set to run as Admin. It might also be worth changing compatibility mode of LW to XP & see if that helps.

hey i know this is off topic, but is limewire pishing gnutella web caches?...take a look ... Beacon Cache II (Chico Mod) 0.8.0 and i will see how many 5.3.6 have on the list ...
