Sharing with friends.
Hi, I know this has been already covered; however, and after reading so many info I find it difficult to set the all shebang with a friend.
Nevertheless, LW 5.4.6 has a quick "add friend" option... yet it doesn't work. Why?!

The other person needs to have their LW set up to share as a friend also. ie: via an email address, etc.

Yes
 LOTR, and that is my sincere problem.I do not have anyone else besides myself to invite... Officially speaking I tried, unofficially I couldn't really. Technically speaking I invited myself, it did work for I saw my name on my "friend" list as well as Frank (the genius third eye) but I was too shy to add any files, and to lazy to try to download them again from my own HD...  wWwwWuUuAAaaa I am so lonely  nobody like me ... !!!

Well it simply doesn't work. A good friend of mine came to my place, we both log on LW, shared, started chat.
We could see each other on the chat. We invited each other logon name, none showed up. It simply doesn't work............
