AVG can't run??

I thot I was downloading Itunes when it told me to download LimeWire Pro. I was confused. To add to my confusion, nothing I tried to download will complete due to an error message that states, "AVG anti-virus failed to load" & it stalls the download. What happen to my Itunes?? Am I stupid??

AVG no longer works for any version of LW. I guess the AVG company broke the links to the LW program after the LW company was closed.

Two choices. One is to go to LW's settings & choose to disable AVG. ie: LW's menu bar, Tools -> Options -> Transfers, Downloads, disable Scan files I download for viruses.

My recommendation would be to use File_Girl's LW Pirate Edition (LPE) http://www.gnutellaforums.com/gettin...tml#post359817. She removed the AVG so no problems in that regard.
You will find LPE runs about the same as LW Pro.

If you are using Windows 7 or higher, best to right-click both the LPE & Java installers & choose 'Run as Administrator'. (This can also help for Vista.)

Glad to hear. I'm guessing iTunes should work again now with transfers. If not, disable the option, apply & ok, leave options. Return to options & enable the option again. Might be wise to restart LW after that. For iTunes, make sure that it's set to copy to iTunes library in settings. Also restart iTunes.
