![]() I have a bit of a prob. suddenly qtella is unavailable to me. I can see the hourglass in the taskbar, so it is loading, but it won't start up. Neither rebooting or reinstallation helps. so far it has worked flawlessly for me so this is quite annoying. I'm running mandrake 8.2 and i installed from rpm ps:is there some kind of error registration system monitor in linux that might give me a clue? c-ya |

![]() I'm guessing that you're opening the program by clicking on something. If you open a console and open the program that way (by typing qtella, I would guess, since the program is called qtella and all), you should get any error messages generated by the program, and if the program is killed you should be told why. There's the strace command if that doesn't work, but hopefully you'll get enough insight into what is going on by just running the program from a console. |

![]() I found out that if you use the close button in you window manager, qtella continues to run in the background, in which case you will get no error message at the commandline, but it will not start up another instance. You must kill the running instance manually. |
