Default Problems connecting to host

Hello
I'm using fedora core 2.
But my problem is that i cannot connect to the host, it only says wating and error, and it hasn't established any connection.
I've tried all the hosts on the website of qtella, but it doesn't make any difference.
I've commented some lines out in the source to make it compile, because i don't have kde on fedora(the lines that i commented out were part of kde).
But i don't think that can cause the problem.
So can anyone help me?
Thanx Hylke
