I'm getting a lot of Morpheus Ultrapeers with only 1 or 2 hosts.
| The amount of hosts reported are based on the pongs the connected clients send to the ultrapeer. Before ultrapeers clients pinged constantly to get pongs which probably better represented your horizon. Just because the ultrapeer only reports 1 or 2 connections it does not mean that there are only 1 or 2 hosts that it is connected to. If you stay connected to is long enough this number will eventually grow. Quote:
I've got a file d/ling, but in the host cache it reports as not sharing any files. Don't get it, can someone explain
| Could be a couple of things. Either it added files since it was added to your hostcache OR it reported 0 because of some error OR it reported an unusually high number ( some clients change it to 0 if it seems to high, but I am not sure if shareaza does this ) Quote:
it seems that the Morpheus ultrapeers are a general problem... I saw many posts in the Limewire forum and on bearshare.net...
| This is true. Apparently it doesn't scrutinize the requirement to be an ultrapeer as much as it should. This would mean clients that should not be ultrapeers, such as modem users and users that connect and disconnect often. |
