Shareaza takes ages to start up then uses a LOT of memory (over 50Mb of RAM) which refrains me from using it :-(
I run Win2K SP2, Shareaza 1.3

Anyone has that problem too?....

I am also using the same OS and have not experienced anything like what you are saying. I do have Netstat running at all times.

Did you install version 1.3.0.0 'over' an earlier iteration of Shareaza?
Perhaps, if you have not already done so, you should try deleting Shareaza and do a fresh install of version 1.3.0.0

I agree with Ursula, I just ran a test using Shareaza 1.3 and saw < 3 Meg of ram difference after starting Shareza. Even with two concurrent searches.

Are you sure that Shareaza used your ressources?
I have that system too and Shareaza is running quite calm without using that much ressources.
Maybe you should reinstall it clean, like ursula said.

Please lemme know when the problem is fixed ok?

I uninstalled Shareaza and reinstalled 1.3.0.0
It now loads very fast and "only" takes 7Mb of RAM (much better than before still)
