In my opinion shareaza sucks...

I recently downloaded and installed shareaza... it has a nice look, but for some reason I can't shake the idea that I'm about to torture myself with kazaa and emule's corrupt, incomplete, spammed and virus ridden files.... the first file I downloaded, when I ran it in media player asked for me to click on yes to download some security update from microsoft...., I then burned the file to a cd, ran it in my test computer, clicked on yes, and all hell broke loose... some downloader froze my machine and, needles to say, I didnt like that very much, that doesnt mean shareaza is not a good program, but I will stick to limewire which basically has gotten me 95% of the files I looked for, obviously I've had to sort out many virus or corrupt files, but it is much simpler to use, and has a much better user interface than any other program out there.
After kazaa and emule, I went for mirc, where in certain channels you were sure to get clean files, until I came across Limwewire.

Well that answers my question of "is shareaza still bad with virus's?" So I think I will stay clear of it.

Im looking for another program since BS went bonkers. Im not a big fan of LW tho.

I don't like Shareaza one bit but was has anything of this to do with Shareaza? You don't need Shareaza, LimeWire or anything in particular to download a virus. Neither LimeWire, BearShare or any other software will protect you against viruses. You really have to download and install "Common Sense 2006". That's the only thing which helps against viruses.

C'mon, Shareaza isn't bad, its so cool cuz it has 3 networks, the 2 versions of Gnutella and E-Donkey Net, it is so cool, and how Hyper-kun sayz, "neither Limewire, or Shareaza will help against viruses"...

My friend is telling me to get Shareaza, but I got LimeWirePro. I don't know which is better though, and I haven't really had a chance to test out LWP.

I said I didn't know. I still don't. I just heard more about LimeWire, especially PRO.

I would like to get rid of the pop-up "Magnet Link Handler" when my Limewire program starts. Would anyone know how I can get rid of this annoying feature?

This is a recent phenom. Did not happen before.
