Most videos aren't with sound when previewed. That's because that code is old

And it got lost, so we don't have the source anymore.

But you might try using a big codec pack: Download K-Lite Mega Codec Pack

Thx but I do not think my problem is Codec related I have about all the video and audio codecs around.
