uninstall/download problems

How do remove a previous download of limewire which has not completely gone. I tried add/remove plus rmoving from progams. When I try to download again I get the error "error opening file for writing" limewire.exe.
The folder will not uninstall from the program menu and there s no uninstall icon within it. Thanks

Add/remove control panel is "not" the correct way to uninstall LW. Normally a simple uninstall is to to the start menu > Programs>LW>Uninstall. But if that option is no longer available, then you may need to reinstall LW using a newer version which will uninstall LW at the beginning of the installation process, then uninstall using the method I suggested.
