How come I get a blank document icon

Most of the time when I go to down load music I get a document. Sometimes I get an Mp3 I have iTunes I also use imac 9.1. Whats up with this how can this be fix. Help

You're refering to the mp3 icon missing/being blank right? That is not an uncommon problem in pre-OSX. Suspicions are that it's java related. Thanks for replying LTR. So does Audion work as good as itunes and can I still burn music?

Unlike iTunes, Audion will not burn a disk. It is very simply an mp3 player. What's important is that it'll play almost any type of mp3. You can create playlists. You can stream from internet. The latest version is version 3 & they still create a version for OS8-9.

Tough question. Depends what you mean. iTunes is arguably easier to use. I always use iTunes (within OSX.) I use Audion just for those files iTunes can't recognise. I may convert these to aiff. I also occasionally encode mp3's using Audion. So for me it's just for the occasional use. But I use OSX 99% of the time nowadays. You can trial it out to see what you think. Thanks again for replying I download Audion and the music does play but I was also reading the link that you put and there are solution in having the music show up like before I am gonna read more on this and see if it works again thanks for helping me I will get back to you if I have any problems hopefully I dont
