Sleepless is just really nice
Default I'm no expert but ...

I have had some troubles before and always managed to get out of it

First burn every single file that you got of Limewire + anything from 1 week before you started having the problem to now to disk and then delete it

(edit): Try looking through this tread and the links in it. It is something Lord Of The Rings has gathered from different tread. A lot of good links there. It may help you fix your problem even if your specific problem isn't listed there (I think)

also look at the post below if you are wondering what programs might be good. I would suggest paying for "Registry Mechanic" though instead of a free registry cleaner. I find it a lot more effective.

Also Kasperskys Antivirus is said to be very good. (and not too expensive). I Use Panda myself but I do not recommend it because of extensive CPU usage (good but slows your comp way down)

MS (Formerly Giant) antispyware Beta is a pretty good free program as well

or Ad-Aware SE (from Lavasoft) which finds some things MS Antispyware doesn't. (I think that Micro$oft has been bribed or something)

(end of edit)

Disconnect from the internet and uninstall Limewire and Java

Then search your PC for anything "lime"

If you find anything, delete it. If Windows won't allow you to delete something, then keep a note of the filenames

Run a antivirus program (and then a antispyware program)

Use a registrycleaner to scan your registry and delete anything that you don't see as nessesary

Restart your computer (if you were denied access to any files, then press and hold F8 and start only command promth (don't start windows) delete the files) Then type exit and start up normally

If any files needed to be deleted in command promth then run your registry cleaner again to see if any new entries are picked up. If there are delete them too and restart again

run another antivirus program and Antispyware

If the computer is behaving normally now. You can reconnect to the internet and download java.

Run a online scan. I recommend Trend Micro house call

Do not install anything that you have burned to disk until you are sure that everything is back to normal, and wait a few days before you download limewire again to see If you are free of all nasties

If it didn't help. then try this website.

http://www.daniweb.com

They help if you are really in trouble, but don't mention P2P sharing or LimeWire, as they tend to don't like people doing it. Read carefully how to post. You will need to run a program called "HighJack This" and post the results. You will get all the info you need on the site

If Limewire is working now. You can slowly start adding the files that you burned to disk at a slow pace so that you will notice if you get infected again, because this is probably from a infected download

If you have gotten infected through a download, then you need to read all the info on here about staying safe and not downloading viruses
