Will there ever be a Linux version of Xolox? I am running Wine right now but I keep having trouble getting the current version of xolox to work. I am looking into trying VMWare, but it would be so much easier if one of Xolox's loyal followers would port this excellent program over to linux. Makes it easier on the non Windoze users.

Probably not. Porting an application can be as tricky as rewriting it completely for the new environment.

XoloX is written in Delphi, so to port it over you would need to make a C version of it most likely, tricky work.. VMWare generally runs pretty well so it should be ok in it.

Good point gamer. VMWare works great for running Windows programs on Linux.
If you use Linux as your OS and don't like VMware try gtk-gnutella which is a great *nix client. - http://gtk-gnutella.sourceforge.net/ |

I merged the threads Gamer since it was the exact same question. I will start trying to clean up some threads that deal with the *very similar* questions or comments.
Anyone is free to send me IM's regarding a post. thanks |
