Unhappy Limewire crashing on Mac

Hi all,
I'm using Limewire on a Mac (OS9.1) for several months with no problems. Then it starts failing to load; gets to the end where it normally asks you to update and crashes. I downloaded the latest version; still the same problem. Anyone else having these problems or can offer possible solution?
thanks

Steve

It might be that it's not getting enough RAM in the latest version.

First, I'd try allocating more RAM to Limewire and to java runtime (or Java MRJ).

Secondly, try doing a clean install of Limewire. That means deleting Limewire completely, including preferences and everything, and the installing the latest version.

Hi Blackbird,
thanks for the response. I've tried what you recommend; 25mb RAM to LW. Still no luck.

Got LW running again; problem seems to have been caused by the "incomplete" folder from the earlier version of LW. Once I moved to the trash and re launched LW it loaded up without a problem. Hope this helps someone else out there.
