Unhappy install

when im installing it sais it cannot make uninstall information and stops the installation. WHAT DO I DO?

go to 1) start 2) contol panel 3) add and remove programs - find LimeWire highlight and click remove.

If LimeWire isn't there by some chance take a look in 1) start 2) all programs. Find LimeWire and uninstall from there.

WHEN IM INSTALLING LIMEWIRE its installing and then it stops and sais it cant continue because it cant create a uninstall program

I'm having the same problem, and I've tried to install again... but it keeps saying the same thing...

what can I do?

Uninstall the previous version. Downld the installer to your computer (ie:save it to your computer.) Then try installing. If same thing, reboot your computer. It may sound silly & annoying but the same happened to me & after rebooting it worked fine. If you still have the same problem you may need use a registry cleaner to clean things up a bit.

okay, thanks... I'll try the registry cleaner, but I have another problem... there is no uninstaller and I tried to manually delete the program but it wouldnt let me delete some files...

With the new installer you can usually install over the top. So don't be too fussed. See how it goes.

Okay, so I cleaned my registry, restarted computer, saved installer, and am trying to install, but it doesnt go any further than trying to install java... it just sits there saying please wait, installing java... lol

Try the new version of LW. It is now 4.6 thought the site may say an earlier version. SAVE the installer to your hard disk drive. Then reboot your computer (a pain I know but try it.) Now install LW.
